Overview

The Inaugural World Bowls World Cup will be held indoors in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from November 4 to 8, 2025. This event serves as a lead-in to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

This World Cup marks the debut of a “World Cup”-style tournament under the World Bowls banner, representing a new format and opportunity for nations to compete globally in the sport of bowls.


FORMAT

The World Cup 2025 will feature seven distinct events as part of its format :

1. Open Women’s Singles
2. Open Women’s Pairs
3. Open Men’s Singles
4. Open Men’s Pairs
5. Parasport Singles (covering one male or one female physical/visually impaired athlete)
6. Parasport Pairs (pair involving physical or VI athletes)
7. Team Event—being the overall team performance across categories
